As each ASIC used on a card will vary in properties the stock ROMs "Auto calculate" VID, thus manufacturer do not need to tailor each ROM per GPU for model of card.īe aware VID and VDDC are two different things. ASIC Profiling entails fused LeakageID + default GPU clock per DPM in ROM + other GPU properties. Next I'd like to explain what goes on when you flash an increased GPU clock ROM.Īll stock ROMs are "Auto calculate" VID per DPM, ASIC profiling is done. Bios version 015.044.000.007.000000 ( TPU vBios link) I can understand it would not work as it has Hynix BFR / Elpida BBBG support. Now version 015.044.000.005.000000 ( TPU vBios link) should have worked as it has Hynix AFR support, I can only think there is something within the ROM causing incompatibility. As you have stated it works the reasons are the same as above. Next let's take the info you've posted in post 5, bios version 015.042.000.003.000000 ( TPU vBios link) you will note on the details page that VRAM_Info section of ROM supports "Autodetect" RAM IC with Hynix AFR & Elpida BBBG support.

As you have installed driver thus GPU-Z shows correct clocks, etc plus it's shows Hynix RAM IC and not having an issue it is safe to assume you have Hynix AFR as ROM supports that and it's been "Autodetected". Let's take your screenie in post 10 you have bios version 015.042.000.000.000000 ( TPU vBios link) you will note on the details page that VRAM_Info section of ROM supports "Autodetect" RAM IC with Hynix AFR & Elpida BBBG support. Will test it tonight and let you know if the temps were any I'd like to just explain what I think has gone on with you updating ROMs.

Thanks Fullinfusion for the page Mr Genius lol, I love reading your posts ^^ You remind me of that tv program house

Also I'm running on drivers that are older, and yes its working good but there might be a point where I need to update them.

Why? Tbh I'm still not convinced its all working so running it at the oc speeds of 1007 instead of the gaming 977 will really show if its still running stable.

I did want to test the most up to date bios so I'll install the UEFI BIOS v2 015.042.000.003.000000 on the UEFI switch. I wouldn't be that brave if I thought I can brick the card Mind you in saying that I use atiflash on a usb and also have multi monitor enabled on the bios so if there was a problem I could force flash again. Jaggerwild I have the bios switch so I've always got the original to fall back on. Hello guys, been working right through so haven't yet had the time to test the other bios. In this photo it sits on top of a Mac Mini. It is a Via Artigo A1150, powered by a 40nm Via Eden x2 U4200 CPU with two cores running at 1Ghz. It stunk of cigarettes to high heaven, but is otherwise functional. This one was rescued off ebay from a seller in Romania for peanuts.

I have a thing for old small form-factor systems, and I always wanted a Pico-ITX one.
